What is Lead Score?
Lead scoring is essential in marketing as it helps prioritize and focus efforts on the most promising prospects. By assigning scores to leads based on criteria like engagement, demographics, and behavior, marketers can identify which leads are most likely to convert into customers. This process allows for more targeted marketing campaigns, ensuring that resources are directed toward high-value leads.
Lead scoring also enables better alignment between marketing and sales teams, as it provides a clear indication of lead quality. This ensures that only the most qualified leads are passed on to sales, improving efficiency and increasing the chances of closing deals. Ultimately, lead scoring enhances the overall effectiveness of marketing efforts, leading to higher conversion rates and a more efficient sales process.
How is the Lead Score calculated?
Lead Score is determined in one of four ways:
A Lead that clicks on a link that is included on the email marketing campaign will get 1 point.
A Lead that submits a form on your website will get 5 points.
A User can also upload a list with an initial lead score. When this happens the User can give a Lead as many points as they want.
By editing the initial lead score on the contacts profile page
