GlassHive now has the capability to post to a connected Instagram account as well as field messages, comments, and likes! This is in addition to our other existing social media integrations for LinkedIn and Facebook.
Pre-Setup Checklist
Instagram has 2 prerequisites that are necessary in order to use your account in an Integration. They are the following:
☑️ Your Instagram account must be set to be a business account.

Go to your Instagram profile and click on the three lines at the bottom right corner of the menu bar that says More.
Then, click Settings and privacy, then Account type and tools, and Switch to professional account.
Pick a category that best describes your business, then select Business.
☑️ Your Instagram business account must be linked to a Facebook account.

Go to your Instagram profile and click on the three lines at the bottom right corner of the menu bar that says More.
Then, click Settings and privacy, and then click on Accounts Center.
Tap Add Facebook account and follow the on-screen instructions.
Setting Up In GlassHive
To connect your social media accounts, you'll first need to click on the social media "Thumbs up" icon in the navigation bar.
From there, select "Accounts." This will take you to a page where you can manage your social media integrations.
On the Accounts page, you'll see options to connect various platforms. Click on Instagram and select "Connect". You'll then be prompted to sign in with your linked Facebook account and grant permissions for the integration.
⚠️ It's important to connect both the respective Instagram and Facebook accounts in order to pull analytics (don't worry, you can still choose to only post to one or the other platform down the line)
Once you're met with the connection widget, the next step is to click "Next" and then simply follow the prompts of the integration. Facebook will walk you through the process of connecting your social media account. Once this is done, you'll be redirected back to your GlassHive integrations page.
From here, your Instagram account should show up as "Connected" in your GlassHive Social Media Accounts page and you'll be ready to post to Instagram from GlassHive!
