Company Campaigns vs. Personal Campaigns

How to choose a company campaign or a personal campaign, and who receives the email.

Written by Tyler Cofield

When you create a campaign, GlassHive asks whether you want a company email campaign or a personal email campaign. A company campaign is shared with your whole team. A personal campaign belongs to one salesperson and only goes to that salesperson's contacts.

How to choose

  • Go to Marketing > Email Marketing > Campaigns.

  • Click Create Campaign.

  • Choose Company Email Campaign or Personal Email Campaign.

Company Email Campaign

A Company Email Campaign is shared with your whole team. It runs across everyone's contacts and is visible to all users.

  • It sends to the contacts on the lists you select.

  • Anyone who can open Campaigns can see it.

  • It is not assigned to one salesperson.

Choose a company campaign when the email should go to the full list.

Personal Email Campaign

A Personal Email Campaign belongs to a single salesperson. It runs only on their contacts, even when those contacts are on a list with someone else's contacts.

  • Choose Personal Email Campaign.

  • Under This Campaign Belongs To, select the salesperson.

  • If you are that salesperson, GlassHive assigns the campaign to you. You will not see This Campaign Belongs To.

  • Contacts assigned to other salespeople are left out of the send.

On the Lists step, the counts only include contacts assigned to that salesperson. Lists with none of their contacts are hidden. GlassHive also shows this notice: Contacts in the selected lists who are assigned to other salespeople will be excluded.

If you are the salesperson the campaign belongs to, the notice says: Only contacts assigned to you will receive this campaign email.

Restricted salespeople

Salespeople who can only see contacts assigned to them do not see this choice. GlassHive makes their campaign a personal campaign automatically.
