Changing your notification settings allows you to dictate how and when you receive notifications.
First thing you'll want to do is navigate to your "Account" settings found in the bottom left of the screen.
Next select on "My Profile" > "Notifications".
This page will show you all of your notification settings such as when you would like to receive email notifications, In-App Options, as well as your notification preferences where you can customize how you would like to receive the notifications.
