Utilizing contact pipelines helps to improve workflow, follow-ups, and relationship management by organizing the customer journey into clear stages, allowing teams to prioritize and automate tasks efficiently.
For the purpose of this article, we will be focusing on the "Contact Status" field, which is used in GlassHive to track the stage of a contact within the sales pipeline. By using the "Contact Status" field, we can better understand how to effectively manage and move contacts through the pipeline toward conversion.
*Before continuing, ensure your contact statuses are set to match your sales funnel (If you do not have a sales funnel the following graphic will assist you as an example)*
To begin setting up your contact pipelines inside of GlassHive navigate to a contact dashboard. It can be any contact dashboard as it will be visible on all contact dashboards.
For our purposes, we will use the "All Contacts" dashboard which can be accessed by selecting "Contacts" then "All Contacts" from the Nav bar.
From here you will see the All Contacts Dashboard
Next, select "Add View".
A "View" will allow you to save and customize a series of filters and/or sorts to provide a view of specific data sets. In this case a specific contact status or stage of your pipeline.
This will open your View editor, from here, you can name your view, assign filters, as well as choose what data you want to see via the hide/show column.
Once your view has been created select "Save"
In this case, the third stage in our pipeline, or Qualified was used.
You will then be able to access the newly created view by selecting it
For example, in the view that was created, only contacts that had the contact status of "Qualified" should be displayed. This allows you to narrow down the amount of contacts viewed as well as knowing at a glance what contacts are in each stage of the pipeline.
These steps can be repeated for every contact status and can be further customized by using more filters or sorting metrics. You should have a View setup for each stage of your Sales Funnel to ensure you have full visibility over each stage.
Once completed, you will have your Sales Pipeline views completed and have full visibility into each stage of the sales process.
