Magic Links allow vendors to connect emails in a marketing plan to GlassHive assets such as:
Collateral
Landing pages
Files
When a partner sends the campaign, the Magic Link dynamically routes the recipient to the correct vendor asset.
Best practice is to create all assets first, keep them unpublished, connect them to your emails, and then publish everything once ready.
Step-by-Step Setup
Step 1: Create Your Marketing Assets
Before creating Magic Links, build all supporting content first.
Create any required assets under the vendor resources section, such as:
Partner resources
Collateral
Landing pages
Files
Important:
Leave these assets unpublished initially so they can be safely connected to your campaign.
Step 2: Navigate to Marketing Plans
Go to Marketing Plans
Select the campaign or plan you want to work with.
Open the email you want to edit.
Example from the walkthrough:
Marketing Plans → P2 Managed Services → Edit Content
Step 3: Edit the Email Content
Once inside the email editor:
Click Edit Content
Decide where the Magic Link should appear:
Button
Hyperlink
Text link
Step 4: Insert a Magic Link (Graphic Emails / Buttons)
For graphical emails:
Select the button or clickable element.
Add a link.
Choose Resource Magic Link.
Select the resource type:
Collateral
Landing Page
File
Choose whether to use:
Published templates
Unpublished templates
Select the asset you want to link.
Click Add.
The asset will now be connected to that button through a Magic Link.
Step 5: Insert a Magic Link (Text Emails)
For text-based emails:
Highlight the text that should become the call-to-action.
Click Insert Magic Link.
Select the asset type:
Collateral
Landing page
File
Choose the appropriate template.
Click Add.
The highlighted text will now contain the Magic Link.
Step 6: Format the Call-to-Action
To make the Magic Link more visible:
Bold the text
Italicize if needed
Format it like a CTA
Example:
"Click here to read the infographic"
This helps partners recognize it as an action point rather than a generic hyperlink.
Step 7: Connect All Assets to the Marketing Plan
Repeat the Magic Link process for each email in your marketing plan.
Ensure all assets are connected before publishing.
Step 8: Publish Assets and Marketing Plan
There are two ways to publish:
Method 1 (Recommended)
Build all assets
Connect assets to emails
Publish assets
Publish the marketing plan
Method 2
Publish the marketing plan
Publish the assets afterward
Recommended: Method 1 reduces the risk of broken links if partners launch campaigns immediately.
Best Practices
Always build assets first
Leave assets unpublished until fully connected
Ensure every email CTA uses a Magic Link
Format Magic Links clearly as calls-to-action
Publish assets before or immediately after publishing the marketing plan
Key Takeaway
Magic Links dynamically connect vendor assets to campaign emails.
By creating assets first, linking them inside the email editor, and publishing everything in the correct order, vendors can ensure partners always access the correct resources when campaigns are launched.
